The Search for Common Ground for the Greater Good

The Coalition Against Misery works to unite people and organizations on specific issues of agreement. One way to make progress in the areas of animal welfare and environmental concerns is to facilitate cooperation between people and organizations who care about these issues. To assist this facilitation, every week the Coalition Against Misery will review hundreds of websites and will communicate with organizations across the world in an effort to review the campaigns that each organization is currently undertaking. We will highlight many of them on this website and in a weekly email alert. You may agree with some of the campaigns and not agree with others but highlighting the issues on this website allows you to easily and quickly choose those issues that are of the greatest interest to you.

The purpose of this website and the email alerts is to seek common ground. Choose those issues that you agree with and ignore the ones you don't. Choose the ones you agree with and jump in to help.

Animal Abuse Gizmo

Michael Lee Davis and Chad Daniel Crawford, who have been charged in the 2004 kicking incident that killed a 17-year-old dog, are now scheduled to stand trial beginning October 22, 2007. Davis was charged with intentionally killing an animal and aggravated cruelty to animals. Crawford had been charged earlier with cruelty to animals and vandalism after allegedly killing a Yorkshire terrier. Both have plead not guilty. The two-pound dog, named Gizmo, belonged to one of Crawford's neighbors.

Crawford is accused of "punting" the animal like a football while Davis held the dog to the ground, laughing when the dog landed, dead. At least one neighbor came forward to offer an eyewitness account of the killing.

Curious Little Product Can Save You Money and Help the Environment

The cute little blue nodules are magical. Simply toss them in the dryer where they’ll tumble around, lifting and separating fabrics and relaxing fibers so the air can get in and do its thing more efficiently. Each pair of balls does the trick for at least two years.

By reducing drying time by 25 percent these doohickeys will save you both time and money, soften fabrics and do good for the environment! They also rid your garments of wrinkles, so clothing doesn’t need to be ironed.

Can be purchased at Nellies Laundry
