The Search for Common Ground for the Greater Good |
The Coalition Against Misery works to unite people and organizations on specific issues of agreement. Over twenty years of working on animal and environmental issues has taught us that there is broad and deep agreement on many issues across animal welfare and environmental organizations. But these organizations often do not work collaboratively to pursue common goals. There are many reasons why this is the case but one of the most significant is that they that do not agree on every issue and every action methodology so think they can't work together on unique issues. One way to make progress in the areas of animal welfare and environmental concerns is to facilitate cooperation between people and organizations who care about these issues. |
To assist this facilitation, every week the Coalition Against Misery will review hundreds of websites and will communicate with organizations across the world in an effort to review the campaigns and alerts that each organization is currently undertaking. We will highlight many of them on this website and in a weekly email alert. |
People may agree with some of the alerts and not agree with others. They may like some organizations and not like others. Perhaps they don't like a particular organization but they do agree with a position they have taken on a specific issue. This website and the email alerts lets everyone easily and quickly choose those issues that are of the greatest interest to them and get involved. |
The purpose of this website and the email alerts is to seek common ground. Choose those issues that you agree with and ignore the ones you don't. Choose the ones you agree with and jump in to help. |
